Responsible for specimen collection from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation. Duties include phlebotomies, Holter monitor connection and disconnection, ECG tracings, special test collections, client relationship management, patient data entry, and specimen preparation. An approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent is preferred, and phlebotomy experience is an asset. Requires excellent communication, computer, customer service, empathy, flexibility and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with rotational Saturdays, and a personal vehicle is required to support coverage across the SEIU area.
