Join an Australian Research Council-funded project on CO2 electroreduction at the School of Chemistry, UNSW. The successful applicant will synthesise copper-based materials and single-atom catalysts, evaluate their performance in three-electrode H-cell systems, large-scale gas diffusion layer flow cells and zero-gap membrane electrode assemblies, and conduct advanced operando and post-mortem characterisation. Applicants should hold a Master's degree or First Class Honours degree in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a similar discipline. Desired skills include knowledge of electrochemical energy technologies such as electrocatalysis, electrolysers or batteries, demonstrated research and publishing experience, and excellent spoken and written English. The scholarships are available immediately and support research in clean energy, sustainability, energy conversion, environmental treatment and decarbonisation technologies.
