Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care, ensure smooth daily operations and maintain compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements. Responsibilities include staff management, curriculum monitoring, safeguarding as Designated Safeguarding Lead, parent communication, health and safety, staff development, budget and resource management, attendance oversight and continuous improvement. A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education is required, preferably Level 5 or higher. The role requires 3 to 5 years of experience as a nursery manager, knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Ofsted inspection standards, and Paediatric First Aid and DSL training or willingness to complete them. An enhanced DBS check and commitment to safeguarding are required.
