Maples Group non-legal scholarships are awarded to appropriately qualified Caymanians who require additional financial resources to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses at recognised colleges or universities. A scholarship provides up to US$15,000 per academic year towards tuition, books and accommodation throughout the duration of the degree course. Applicants must have Caymanian status, should normally be less than 30 years old, and must have been offered a place, conditionally or unconditionally, to read for a degree at a recognised college or university, or already have commenced a relevant degree course. Candidates are expected to pursue their degree diligently, typically achieving at least a lower second class honours or a 3.30 GPA, and to keep the Maples Group informed of their progress each term. Applications require an online application form and supporting academic, university offer, prospectus and course cost documentation. Candidates may be asked to attend an interview and references may be requested.
