Royal Prince Alfred Hospital offers six-month or twelve-month neuropathology rotations for post-Part 1 registrars. Training includes surgical pathology, forensic brain pathology, molecular diagnostics and muscle biopsy pathology, with tutorials at Tissue Pathology. The rotation provides reporting time, consultation cases involving rare and difficult tumours, integrated brain tumour diagnosis, molecular testing, forensic neuropathology, muscle biopsies, surgical case triage and immunohistochemical stain ordering. Applicants should demonstrate willingness to learn, organisational and communication skills, initiative and the ability to ask for help.
