Participate in a virtual six-day professional-development course for talented beginning creative writers of color. The course focuses on professionalizing literary practices and profiles, preparing for funding and artist residency applications, growing resumes and publication credits, and building the business side of an author career. Applicants must be BIPOC writers with five or fewer publication credits, no major literary grant, fellowship, or residency, no doctoral degree in Creative Writing, Literature, English, or an ancillary field, and a Bachelor's degree. Participants should have a group of poems, a short story, article, or essay, a script, or a novel excerpt ready to submit. The program runs online in the Pacific time zone from September 21 through September 26, 2026. Applications are open through August 14, 2026, and admission is competitive.
