Nichols Law is seeking a mid-level employment litigator with 3 to 5 years of experience to take ownership of cases, work closely with clients, develop litigation strategy, and advocate for employees through negotiations, mediations, and litigation. This is a 6-month contract position with the expectation of 2 to 3 days per week in the San Francisco office and the opportunity to convert to a long-term role based on performance. Responsibilities include communicating with clients and opposing counsel, drafting discovery and briefs, conducting and defending depositions and court appearances, and managing and mentoring legal assistants and paralegals. Requirements include active membership in the California state bar in good standing, at least 3 years of relevant experience including 2 years of employment law experience, strong writing, research, and communication skills, experience drafting briefs and managing discovery, and the ability to manage multiple cases independently. The role offers competitive base compensation of $155,000 to $175,000 based on experience and a hybrid schedule.
