Deliver Maths to a high standard to students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups at the TCW South School centre, working with students of all ages, abilities and needs. Supervise offsite teachers delivering Maths to the same students, oversee student progress, and support the Maths Lead with training, moderation, curriculum development and the smooth running of the department. Duties include teaching up to 30 hours per week, planning and tailoring creative lessons, supporting qualifications, marking and assessing work, writing reports, providing pastoral care, guiding teaching assistants, recording session information, covering other teachers' sessions, attending observations and training, and supporting safeguarding and student welfare. Applicants should have an honours degree or equivalent professional qualification, or relevant professional experience working with young people in an educational setting, the ability to teach Maths, English and Science to foundation GCSE level, relevant teaching experience, knowledge of current curricula, SEN and behavioural needs, safeguarding and pedagogy, and strong organisational, communication, administration and IT skills. Qualified Teacher Status, relevant A-levels, creative environment experience and charity experience are desirable. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
