Heritage Toronto is seeking a Manager, Public Programs to lead the creation, execution and evaluation of public programs, including walking and bus tours, in-person and digital programs, the Heritage Toronto Awards and special projects. Responsibilities include evaluating programs, managing budgets and project files, developing partnerships, recruiting and managing volunteers and contract staff, supporting sponsorship and funding, collaborating on marketing and content development, representing Heritage Toronto externally, and supporting the Heritage Toronto Awards Juries Committee and Board of Directors. Candidates should have a passion for Heritage Toronto's mission, post-secondary education or equivalent experience in history, heritage, planning, community engagement or a related field, 3 to 5 years of experience in heritage, arts or cultural event programming, experience with volunteers and community organizations, strong communication and problem-solving skills, digital literacy, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. This is a hybrid position based at Historic St. Lawrence Hall, with a minimum of two office days per week. The role offers a competitive annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000, a matching pension plan, three weeks of paid vacation, and health, dental and life insurance benefits. The position is full-time at 35 hours per week and permanent, with a start date of February 1, 2026.
