The Human Rights Legal Support Centre is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal advice, assistance and representation to clients throughout Ontario who have experienced discrimination contrary to Ontario's Human Rights Code. The role focuses on early intervention legal support services, HRTO mediations and HRTO hearings, including preliminary and pre-merit hearings, early dismissal hearings, contravention of settlement hearings and merit hearings. This is a full-time contract opportunity until March 2028, with a hybrid schedule combining in-person work at the Toronto head office and remote work. The usual hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The salary range is $74,400 to $78,570.75, with a competitive total compensation package.
