Support professional staff to achieve their objectives, work one-to-one with children with additional needs, and assist children in individual, small group and whole class learning. Foster independence, supervise children in line with behaviour management policies, communicate effectively, contribute to assessment through oral feedback and written comments, and make and maintain basic teaching resources. The role requires experience of working with young children, knowledge of child development, children's needs and behaviour management strategies, good organisational skills, positive and effective communication using written and spoken Standard English, and the physical ability to join in activities such as PE and playtime duty. Candidates should be warm, flexible, resilient, hard working, organised, self-motivated, calm under pressure, able to use initiative, reflective, discreet and committed to safeguarding. GCSE Mathematics and English, a relevant qualification in Childcare or Education, and experience in schools or similar settings are desirable.
