Responsible for specimen collection from greeting patients through preparation of specimens for transportation. Duties include performing phlebotomies, connecting and disconnecting holter monitors, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, ECG tracings, special test collections, client relationship management, patient data entry, and specimen preparation. A recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent related experience is required, with ECG experience an asset. The role requires data entry, communication, customer service, independent and team work, patient privacy, travel between multiple Vancouver Patient Service Centres, and flexible availability for varied shifts.
