Responsible for specimen collection from greeting patients through preparation of specimens for transportation. Duties include performing phlebotomies, connecting and disconnecting holter monitors, performing ECG tracings and special test collections, maintaining client relationships, completing patient data entry, and preparing specimens for transportation and testing. An approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent is preferred, phlebotomy and ECG experience are assets, and strong communication, computer, customer service, empathy, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills are required.
