Responsible for greeting patients, explaining specimen collection procedures, performing phlebotomies, Holter monitoring and ECG tracings, completing special test collections and documentation, maintaining client relationships, entering patient and requisition information, and preparing specimens for transportation and testing. An approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent is preferred. Phlebotomy and ECG experience are assets. Requires excellent communication, computer, customer service, empathy, flexibility, adaptability and problem-solving skills, and strict patient privacy and confidentiality. Shifts and schedules may vary according to operational requirements.
