The Godolphin and Latymer School seeks a well-qualified, ambitious and experienced Teacher or current Head of Department to join the school from September 2025. The role involves shaping and directing progress and attainment in History and Politics, developing teaching strategies that encourage deep and scholarly engagement with the subjects, and maintaining excellent levels of achievement across the school. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher committed to the development of History and Politics and to evidence-informed teaching and learning. The Head of Department will lead planning for departmental trips, contribute to university preparation, participate in the History, Politics, and Anthropology and Social Sciences societies, and support the wider school extracurricular programme. The department has twelve highly qualified and experienced staff, and the subjects are thriving at the school. Salary will be commensurate with the post and depend on qualifications and experience. Single-occupancy accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property. Applicants will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employer checks and DBS checks.
