Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Vogue College of Fashion are seeking a Head of Governance, Quality and Compliance to shape, support and deliver the governance, quality and regulatory compliance framework across both institutions. The role includes serving as clerk to the institutional Governing Body and its committees, overseeing risk management, regulatory compliance and Office for Students data returns, leading strategic and policy development, supporting academic standards committees, overseeing student feedback and participating in student casework. The post holder will lead a small team and work across strategic and operational functions. Essential criteria include degree-level education or equivalent, substantial experience of quality assurance, enhancement, compliance and regulation in English higher education with particular reference to the Office for Students, significant experience in a higher or further education governance, quality or compliance role, understanding of higher education policy, experience chairing meetings and committees, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. The role is based at 30 Bedford Square, London, with hybrid working, 25 days annual leave plus up to 4 additional discretionary days, access to wellbeing support, Edconic courses and other benefits.
