Based at Gibson’s Funeral Services in Bishop Auckland, the Funeral Service Operative provides reassurance to families and helps care for their loved ones. Duties include bringing people into care, working in the mortuary, fitting coffins, dressing the deceased, participating in funeral services, pallbearing and driving company vehicles. A full driving licence is required. The role includes an out of hours and on-call rota, with opportunities for additional payments, and potential progression to Funeral Director. Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30. Salary: £27,040 to £27,790 per annum.
