Based at White Dove Funeral Home in Dunstable, the Funeral Service Operative provides reassurance to families and helps prepare their loved ones for their final journey. Duties include bringing people into care, working in the mortuary, fitting coffins, dressing the deceased, participating in funeral services and pallbearing. The role requires a full UK manual driving licence and includes hours between 07:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday, a minimum of 10 hours per month, and an on-call or out of hours rota. There is an opportunity to progress into roles such as Funeral Director.
