Shape how Kinro's systems think, reason, and improve by owning the full loop from hypothesis to measurement to production. Work on grounded generation, compliance-aware reasoning, and multi-turn conversations about commercial insurance. Design and run evaluations covering bound policies, compliance, and customer satisfaction, improve core capabilities, ensure model updates are measurable and safe to ship, follow frontier LLM research, and collaborate with engineering to move research into production. The role requires a PhD or equivalent research experience in ML, NLP, or a related field, a track record of shipping research into real systems, deep familiarity with LLMs, fine-tuning, and evaluation methodology, strong Python skills, and comfort with PyTorch or JAX. Experience with agentic systems or tool use, knowledge of regulatory constraints in insurance or financial services, and prior research lab experience are preferred.
