Tailoress Atelier is seeking an experienced fitting consultant to interact with clients at its East Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio. Responsibilities include preparing and executing client fittings, determining the best fit and presenting design or economical options, entering and amending invoices, maintaining order lists and daily operations, organizing appointment calendars, handling garments between both locations, managing workloads, communicating daily updates and future events, ordering supplies, scheduling shopping trips, and performing basic alterations onsite with speed and accuracy. Qualifications include exceptional communication, listening, speaking and writing skills, initiative, the ability to build trusting client relationships, strong organization, attention to quality and accuracy, 7 to 10 years of alteration or tailoring experience, 2 to 3 years of general fitting experience, 1 year fitting both mens and womens garments, general computer and typing skills, and proficiency in English.
