Railtown Catering is hiring experienced, confident and service-driven Event Managers for its off-site catering events. The role involves leading events from load-in to tear-down, overseeing setup, transporting food, beverages and equipment, supervising service staff, liaising with clients, maintaining presentation standards, and supporting team training. Candidates should have at least 5 years of food and beverage supervisory experience, strong leadership, decision-making, organizational, time-management, customer service and communication skills, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. A valid BC driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract, Food Safe Level 1 or higher, Serving It Right certification and fluent English are required. The position offers approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, shifts of 7 to 11 hours, flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts, $22 per hour plus cash gratuities, a supportive team environment, a 30% Railtown Café discount, complimentary staff meals, career growth opportunities and 4% vacation pay.
