Edit scholarly articles across a wide range of subject areas to a publication-ready standard. Apply knowledge of English and the manuscript context to ensure clarity, consistency and grammatical accuracy while preserving the author's voice, and ensure manuscripts follow MDPI house rules. The role involves meeting tight deadlines and targets, with opportunities to train colleagues and edit corporate material. Applicants need a bachelor's degree, excellent English proficiency, experience in editing, translating or publishing, strong time management and organisation skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and in an international team, office experience, and the right to work in the UK. Academic research or publishing experience, a master's, PhD or equivalent qualification, and familiarity with LaTeX are desirable. In-house training is provided during probation, with opportunities to diversify the role and gain expertise in new areas. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Manchester, UK, with a starting salary of £26,250 per annum, increasing by 5% for non-PhD holders or 10% for PhD holders after successful completion of probation.
