Oversee the counselling service within the Beyond Brave team, including daily operational requirements and leadership and support for a small team of Clinicians and Therapeutic Case Managers. Maintain a client caseload, providing trauma-informed and culturally appropriate counselling, emotional support and assistance with Redress applications. The role is anticipated to comprise two days per week of team leader responsibilities and three days of client caseload work. Duties include counselling and crisis intervention, risk assessments, psychosocial education, case management, multidisciplinary collaboration, community and service provider relationship building, team mentoring, program development, team meetings, staff onboarding, RediCASE oversight and reporting. Applicants need a degree in social work, counselling, psychology or a related discipline, eligibility for relevant professional association membership, and 3 to 5 years of postgraduate experience in case management and counselling for survivors of complex childhood trauma or violence, or in mental health. Experience with adult survivors of child sexual assault, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities and CALD communities is required. A Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate are required or must be obtained.
