Details.

Provide trauma-informed and culturally appropriate support to survivors of institutional child sexual abuse who are considering applying to the National Redress Scheme. Manage a caseload, support clients to complete and lodge applications, provide clear information about the scheme, prepare responses to requests for additional information and reviews of decisions, provide psychosocial education, and promote Beyond Brave services. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team, case debrief, professional development and supervision. Multi-day outreach trips to correctional centres may be required every 8 to 10 weeks. Applicants need a degree in counselling, psychology or social work with eligibility for relevant professional association membership, or 5 to 7 years of trauma-informed case management experience. A minimum of 2 years postgraduate counselling experience with survivors of complex childhood trauma, violence or mental health is required, along with experience working with adult survivors of child sexual assault, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities and CALD communities. A Working with Children Check, National Police Certificate, correctional centre checks and driver's licence are required or must be obtained. Strong communication, organisation, time management, Microsoft Office and multidisciplinary teamwork skills are required.
