Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture seeks a consultant to conduct a formal literature review on healing-centered engagement, interview leading practitioners, and write and present a report summarizing the current landscape of healing-centered engagement, primarily regarding arts engagement and arts-based program design. The work includes meeting with Arts and Culture staff, gathering and analyzing relevant research and documents, identifying at least eight researchers or practitioners for interviews, conducting and summarizing five to eight interviews, providing each interviewee with a $50 honorarium, submitting a final report with citations, and presenting key findings. The consultant will schedule bi-weekly check-ins, provide all necessary equipment and supplies, cover related expenses including travel and access to academic journals, and work as an independent contractor. Tasks were scheduled for completion between July and September 2020.
