BreastScreen Victoria is seeking an Aboriginal-identified Community Engagement Coordinator to manage engagement activities and projects supporting and improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in breast screening. The role leads the planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting of the Beautiful Shawl Project, including coordinating external partners, attending screening visits and community events across Victoria, delivering training, developing project documentation, facilitating consultations, maintaining stakeholder relationships and reporting outcomes. Responsibilities also include Aboriginal community engagement, supporting the Reconciliation Action Plan, facilitating the Aboriginal Advisory Group, and contributing to inclusive partnership programs for underserved communities. The role requires project management, community engagement, communication, collaboration, stakeholder negotiation, strong organisational and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, travel and occasional overnight stays within Victoria, a full driver's licence and a Working with Children check. A degree or relevant experience in public health, health promotion, community engagement, project management or a related discipline is essential. This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, and applications are accepted from people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
