The Chief Operating Officer has overall responsibility for the management, leadership and operational activities of the Local Organizing Committee. Duties include overseeing operations, maintaining compliance with IAAF standards and protocols, protecting the interests of the IAAF and the committee, preparing monthly reports, coordinating meetings, collaborating with stakeholders, managing accounting, budgets and internal controls, developing and executing the strategic plan, and overseeing subordinate managers and employees. Senior and Deputy Senior positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university or experience managing major events. The position is a fixed-term contract for approximately 1 to 2 years.
