Mode Projects Inc is seeking a carpenter in Canada. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, fitting and installing trim, maintaining, repairing and renovating structures, reading blueprints and preparing layouts in line with building codes. The role may include supervising apprentices and other construction workers. The position offers a starting rate of $30 CAD per hour, with potential adjustment up to $35 CAD per hour following a two-week skills assessment, subject to performance. Employees work 8-hour days, receive two 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch break, and may have access to overtime depending on project needs.
