Lead outdoor day trips, including New England exploration, beginner day hikes, and sunset kayaking. Responsibilities include supervising participant safety, creating an inclusive environment, attending pre-trip meetings, completing trip reports, maintaining communication with program management, managing trip logistics and outdoor gear, managing risk and group dynamics, addressing injuries and medical needs, arranging transportation, and modeling Leave No Trace and environmental stewardship. Preferred qualifications include a desire to learn and lead outdoors, excellent communication skills, relevant outdoor activity or group leadership experience, current Basic First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to become certified, strong judgment and safety awareness, outdoor leadership experience, a valid driver's license, and experience driving 12-passenger vans. Boston University second-year student status is also listed. Required trainings include LNT 101 and fall ATL training, with optional backpacking training as a prerequisite for the Trip Leader position and spring TL training. Pay rate is $16 per hour. This is a part-time position reporting to the Manager of Outdoor Programs.
