Join the Brainwaves production team, a weekly community radio show produced and presented by people with lived experience of mental health issues, either personally or as a family member or carer. Production team volunteers interview guests and undertake the technical tasks needed to put the show to air. Volunteers must complete 28 hours of training across five Wednesday sessions from 10am to 4pm, plus one three-hour media law session, followed by four practice sessions before receiving a Certificate in Radio Broadcasting and committing to regular shifts. Brainwaves expects a minimum 12-month commitment from volunteers.
