Smith Street Maternelle is seeking part-time Associate Teachers for the 2026-27 school year, starting in August or September 2026. The role involves collaborating with a Lead Teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate French curriculum, supporting literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, physical development, classroom activities, positive behavior management, materials preparation, French language development, family communication, and compliance with childcare and safety standards. Full proficiency in French and comfortable communication skills in English are required. Experience with preschool curriculum development, childhood development, special education needs, early intervention, literacy, math, Montessori methods, classroom management, and working with toddlers or preschoolers is preferred. Positions are available across the Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, and Gowanus campuses, with morning or afternoon shifts Monday through Friday, 8am to 1pm or 3pm to 6pm.
