Teach CNED classes for 1st and 2nd grade students, CP and CE1, during the 2026-27 school year. Responsibilities include teaching French language and literacy, supporting reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and oral French, following CNED expectations and pacing, creating a structured and supportive French-speaking classroom, monitoring student progress, providing differentiation, and communicating with the CNED Program Coordinator. Applicants should have experience teaching French at the CP and/or CE1 level, experience in a Francophone educational system or as an FLE teacher, strong knowledge of the French elementary curriculum, and fluency in French. Experience with the French Éducation Nationale system is strongly preferred, and experience with bilingual or multilingual children is a plus. The position is based at Smith Street Maternelle in Brooklyn Heights, with classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00pm, totaling 3 hours per week. Compensation is $220 to $300 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.
