Articling position in the firm's Toronto Aboriginal law and Indigenous rights practice. Under the supervision and guidance of practice group partners, the student will assist with legal research, legal memoranda, historical and archival research, document review, draft opinion letters, pleadings and factums, and meetings with clients, witnesses and experts, potentially including travel to remote communities. The student may also assist with civil litigation and class action files. The role offers access to electronic research services, internal databases and an extensive law library. The collective agreement provides competitive wages, payment of Law Society application and licensing fees, a signing bonus, extended health care benefits, a child care allowance, and allowances for health club, at-home internet and public transit expenses.
