Join Available Light's Los Angeles, Burbank studio in a full-time role supporting senior staff with lighting designs for museum exhibitions, interior and exterior architecture, themed entertainment projects, and other private and public installations. Contribute across all design phases, from concept development through post-opening details, while receiving mentoring and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities include developing lighting solutions with team members and clients, preparing construction drawings and project documentation, developing lighting details, researching products and technologies, supporting code compliance, assisting with construction and commissioning, attending project meetings and site visits, and maintaining project schedules. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in theatrical lighting design, interior design, architecture, electrical engineering, or a closely related field, at least two years of architectural lighting or related experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Agi32, lighting visualization software, Photoshop, and Bluebeam, and fluent spoken and written English. VectorWorks experience is a plus, and travel may be required. The position follows a weekly hybrid work model with two to three days in the studio per week if desired and the balance working from home. Salary is $68,000 to $74,000 annually, plus an annual year-end bonus and benefits including health and dental insurance, professional development and tuition reimbursement, applicable association dues, childcare benefits, vacation, and an employer-contribution SIMPLE IRA retirement plan.
