Wagga Wagga Base Hospital offers Anatomical Pathology training with five anatomical pathologists, two anatomical pathology trainees and one JMO. Training covers general histopathology, one-to-one instruction, specialist cut-up, multiheader microscopy and cases for reporting, with access to metropolitan teaching by videoconference and telepathology. Six-month rotations are available, accommodation is provided, federal funding supports courses and conferences, and the department offers a full range of case complexity in a new laboratory with a trainee reporting room.
