Royal North Shore Hospital offers registrar training at a tertiary referral centre with exposure to most specialities, including gastroenterology, gynaecology, breast, respiratory, skin, haematology, head and neck, neurology, urology and musculoskeletal and soft tissue pathology. Registrars receive protected reporting time, generally undertake two to three cut-up days per week, participate in frozen sections and multidisciplinary meetings, attend tutorials, perform fine needle aspirations and have access to research opportunities. The department has no paediatric service.
