Luria Academy of Brooklyn is seeking nurturing and adaptable Aftercare Teachers who understand the developmental and cognitive needs of children and can work collaboratively in a creative, cooperative environment. Responsibilities include working aftercare from 3:45 pm to 6:15 pm Monday through Thursday and 2:45 pm to 5:15 pm on Fridays from September to November and March to June, and from 1:00 pm to 3:15 pm from November to March; attending to children's needs in a caring and kind manner; organizing and supervising games and recreational activities; promoting teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship; and communicating with classroom teachers and Division Heads about concerns or behavioral issues. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma and prior teaching or classroom experience or relevant college coursework in education. Pay is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
