Plan and deliver social activities, excursions and events for students aged 8 to 18 on Bucksmore summer courses. Duties include supervising students during activities, excursions and meal times, supporting airport transfers, waking up and lights out duties, promoting the activity programme, attending meetings and training, responding to emergencies, maintaining student discipline, safety and welfare, and assisting with the set-up, shut-down and day-to-day running of the centre. Essential requirements include flexibility and adaptability, excellent communication skills, an understanding of child safeguarding, an outgoing and sociable character, teamwork and a can do attitude. Applicants must be native or native-level English speakers, have experience in a language and activity-based summer school or similar environment, experience running activity programmes or events for young people, and experience working with 10 to 18 year olds. Experience with international students, a first aid qualification, or experience leading art, music, sports, journalism or drama sessions is desirable. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and eligible to work in the UK. The role runs from 1 July to 12 August, with a typical contract length of 4 to 6 weeks, at least 48 hours per week, evening and weekend work, and one full day off per week. Online training and a paid induction period are provided. The role requires substantial walking on excursions and occasional lifting and carrying of equipment.
