An 8 hour course using a biopsychosocial framework, the latest evidence and clinical experience to improve confidence and competence in managing women with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain. The course covers terminology and research, pelvic girdle anatomy and biomechanics, pregnancy-related physiological changes, assessment and treatment of the sacroiliac and pubic symphysis joints, exercise prescription and contraindications, pelvic floor muscle function, internal examination referral considerations, communication, therapeutic alliance, taping, support belts and clinical reasoning.
