Adapted from Susan Sontag's early journals by performer Moe Angelos, SONTAG: REBORN traces Sontag's private life from age 14 to her emergence as a world-renowned author and activist. Directed by Marianne Weems, the production uses poetic video and sound to explore self-discovery, sexual identity, private life, loves and the idiosyncrasies of the iconic intellectual. Based on the books "Reborn" and "As Consciousness is Harnessed to Flesh" by Susan Sontag, edited by David Rieff.
