Annual advanced herbalism training course at Scuole d’Arte e dei Mestieri Scienza e Tecnica. The programme covers human anatomy, physiology and pathology, botany, organic chemistry and biochemistry, pharmacognosy, herbal laboratory work, and practical cosmetology. Students learn about the health and cosmetic uses of medicinal plants, extraction and production methods, herbal preparations, quality checks, essential oils, and natural plant-based products. External practical sessions may be organised. The course is primarily for students who completed and passed the first year, with other applicants admitted after an orientation interview if they have suitable basic training. Personal consumables and any required small equipment are charged to the student. Final assessment includes a practical multidisciplinary questionnaire and an oral interview. Admission to the exam requires attendance at least 70% of lessons. The course runs for 250 annual hours, 9 hours per week over 2 days, with 17 students.
