Annual professional course on the history of aromatherapy and the applied use of essential oils. Topics include aromatic notes and blending, olfactory and emotional systems, fumigation, chemical profiles, aromatograms, carriers, hydrolats, essential oil monographs, therapeutic use, toxicity and practical applications. The course is open to anyone interested, including those with existing herbal knowledge who wish to deepen their understanding of applied aromatherapy. The course lasts 40 hours, with 4.5 hours per week over one day, and is limited to 12 students. Personal consumables and any required personal equipment for practical exercises are the student's responsibility. The final assessment consists of creating a personalised blend and preparing a monograph on one essential oil of the student's choice.
