DSA is looking for an experienced Party Wall Surveyor to join its London office and help grow its developing party wall service. This senior role involves working independently, advising clients directly and handling projects from instruction through to award. Duties include reviewing construction drawings, preparing and serving Party Wall Notices, drafting and negotiating Party Wall Awards, conducting property inspections, preparing Schedules of Condition, acting as Building Owner's, Adjoining Owner's or Agreed Surveyor, negotiating access licences and agreements, researching title documents and boundary issues, advising on rights of access and potential disputes, maintaining project records, reviewing building methods and construction documents, and supporting business growth through industry networking. Applicants need a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Party Wall Surveyor, including conducting Schedules of Condition surveys, a strong understanding of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 and property law, the ability to read construction drawings, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and manage deadlines, willingness to attend CPD events, and a full UK driving licence. Membership of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, MFPWS or equivalent is preferred, while RICS, CIOB or similar professional membership is beneficial. The role is London based, with travel across the UK as required.
