Covers gemstone formation, physical and optical properties, responsible sourcing, mining and production, gem identification, testing and analysis, grading, valuation, pricing factors and buying guidance. Includes hands-on examination of diamonds and coloured gemstones using gemmological tools. Suitable for complete beginners and jewellery makers with some previous knowledge.
