Details.
A clinically supported, non-invasive treatment using high-energy acoustic pressure waves to stimulate the body's natural healing response in damaged or degenerated tissue. Used for chronic tendon conditions and stubborn musculoskeletal injuries, including Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, patella tendinopathy, gluteal tendinopathy, rotator cuff tendinopathy, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow and chronic muscle pain with persistent trigger points. Sessions typically last 15 to 20 minutes, with a recommended course of three to five sessions spaced approximately one week apart. Treatment is available at the Manly and Brookvale clinics as part of a structured osteopathic treatment plan. An assessment and eligibility check are completed before treatment. It is not suitable during pregnancy, for people with implanted cardiac pacemakers, those undergoing cancer treatment, those who have recently received a corticosteroid injection in the area, or those with blood clotting disorders or taking anticoagulant medication.
