Nightjar is seeking a Design Director to lead the design team and develop brands, creative concepts and designs across interactive content and platforms. The role involves solving user problems through design and technology, leading creative direction, working with strategy, UX, technical and production teams, mentoring designers, leading multiple projects, presenting to clients, facilitating workshops, building client relationships and helping grow a world-class design team. Applicants should have strong conceptual thinking, communication and visual design skills, an understanding of strategy, ideation, user experience, information architecture, emerging technologies and design systems, proficiency in Figma and Adobe Suite, and experience with animation and prototyping tools such as Framer, Principle and After Effects. The role requires 5+ years working in startups, studios or agencies delivering interaction design for web and mobile platforms, plus a strong portfolio of beautiful, usable experiences.
