Take full responsibility for the end to end administration of a book of probate cases of varying complexity, including taxable estates, estates with agricultural, business or overseas assets, and estates where a claim has been notified. Drive matters forward independently through effective workload prioritisation, provide regular and high quality communication to vulnerable beneficiaries and clients, supervise less experienced team members where required, identify and implement process improvements, maintain accurate records and prepare estate accounts. The role may also involve attending face to face meetings with beneficiaries and Legal Personal Representatives, explaining services and fees, and collecting and collating the deceased's financial paperwork. Applicants should have over 6 years of estate administration experience, a solid understanding of inheritance tax, including reliefs, exemptions and grossing up, strong planning, organisational, communication and time management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Will writing experience is desirable, and STEP qualification or progress towards it is preferred.
