Includes surgical implantation of an FDA-approved VNS device, in-clinic physical therapy paired with wireless stimulation, and magnet-activated VNS during at-home rehabilitation exercises and routine tasks. Intended for chronic ischemic stroke survivors with persistent moderate to severe hand and arm impairment after physical therapy. Patients recover for one week after implantation before continuing in-clinic therapy. Surgery and rehabilitation are covered through most insurance plans.
