A teen mentoring program for adolescents with and without autism diagnoses to mentor younger children on the autism spectrum. The program includes mentor training, individual goal setting, monthly social, recreational, and community service activities, and opportunities to develop leadership, social, communication, and community engagement skills. The program year runs from September through May. Mentors are typically high school students ages 14 to 21, and mentees are typically children ages 9 to 13 with an autism diagnosis. Participants cannot require 1:1 staffing or engage in aggressive or self-injurious behavior. Applications for the 2025 to 2026 year are at capacity, with waitlist applications accepted.
