Guth DeConzo is seeking highly motivated mid-level and entry-level electrical engineers for employment in its Troy, New York office. Some travel is required, approximately 10 to 15 percent of the time, occasionally overnight. Responsibilities and qualifications include electrical equipment selection, system sizing, load calculations, product specifications, electrical system layouts, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, technical reports, field audits, existing-condition surveys, building code and energy requirement research, and coordination across disciplines. Candidates should be self-motivated, solution-oriented, organized, driven, team-focused, capable of independent detailed work, and interested in growing into project leadership. Minimum requirements include at least one year of experience on US-based projects and proficiency with Microsoft Office. AutoCAD, lighting and calculation program experience, electrical design software familiarity, and experience with short circuit analysis are noted. Entry-level candidates should have one to three years of design experience and electrical knowledge, while mid-level engineers should have three to ten years of electrical design experience and a portfolio of successful projects. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience is required, with New York State PE, CEM, LC, EIT, or FE credentials noted as a plus.
